Data for the Future: Recording Nature in a Changing World
Join us at the Penryn Campus for a day devoted to celebrating the wildlife recording that goes on in Cornwall. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned expert, this event is perfect for anyone passionate about making wildlife observations throughout the county. Network with fellow enthusiasts, attend workshops, and learn about the latest projects.
This year, we will be focusing on Data for the Future: Recording Nature in a Changing World. We will include topics looking at recent changes in recording methods, including the increasing popularity of structured monitoring, looking at technology implemented in recording, while balancing this against the value of traditional recording techniques. Some of our confirmed speakers include Professor Kevin Gaston, Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust and the Bumblebee Trust.
Lunch and refreshments are included in the price for those attending in person, with a selection of meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free choices. We also have the option of attending remotely if you are unable to get to Penryn.
Prices:
- In person: £10 plus booking fee
- Remote: £5 plus booking fee
- Student discount available
