Ancient Trees

Veteran Oak by Philip Precey

ERCCIS recorder workshop events scheduled to take place over the spring and summer have been postponed to keep everyone safe and well, due to medical advice and the developing path of COVID19. Please sign up to our ERCCIS Workshop News mailing list to help us to keep you updated.

Tim Kellett from the Ancient Tree Forum introduces us to the fascinating world of ancient veteran trees, including their biodiversity and ecology, how their structure changes as they age, and their cultural importance.

To book on to this workshop, please visit Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/92031822659

This workshop is being funded by the Alexanda Recorders Fund. The fund is available for individuals and small wildlife conservation volunteer groups or charities that will make their research and wildlife records available to the wider wildlife conservation sector and for The Environmental Records Centre for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (ERCCIS) for the purpose of recorder support projects or public awareness projects. For more information about the Alexanda Recording Fund, including eligibility criteria and how to apply, please go to:
http://erccis.org.uk/AlexandaRecordersFund

In this case, ERCCIS have applied to the fund to allow recorders to attend for free. We anticipate this will be a very popular workshop so please book early to avoid disappointment. Free spaces are available to Cornwall recorders only; we are unable to offer spaces to commercial or government organisations.
