Amity has recently joined the ERCCIS team in 2020. She has a HND in Animal Management and a BSc in Zoology and Conservation from Bangor University. Previously, Amity has worked for other NGO’s in ecological field surveying and mammal research both nationally and internationally. She has particular interests in native mammals and protecting their habitats from woodlands to caves. Amity volunteers with the local bat group, venturing into unusual squeezes and hide a ways to help survey the county’s bat species.

Her role assists the Wildlife Information Service, where she uses a combination of her knowledge, experiences, resources and research to provide answers to a range of questions about Cornish wildlife. She is learning constantly and positively challenged by the role, broadening her knowledge in all directions!’
